Dillon Bernard (he/him) is a digital strategist and content producer who uses storytelling as a revolutionary tool. Dillon supports purpose-driven organizations on digital content strategy, creative direction, and audience engagement strategy with an emphasis on engaging young and multicultural audiences.
Dillon is the Creative Director of Dillon Bernard Media (DBM), a creative incubator that empowers multicultural storytellers to use storytelling as a force for social change. Dillon Bernard Media Lab, the in-house creative agency of DBM, offers digital strategy and creative direction services to impact-focused organizations working at the intersection of media, culture, and transformative justice.
He has led social media and digital content strategy for historic social movements and coalitions such as March On for Voting Rights, the September 20, 2019 US Climate Strikes, Earth Day Live, and the #VoteWithUs early vote mobilizations.
Inspired by his own experience as a young storyteller, Dillon founded Content By Us, an awareness campaign created by and for young storytellers of color who use media and narratives as a force for self-empowerment and social justice.
Dillon is a fall 2020 grantee of The National Geographic Society’s Young Explorers program and a 2021 grantee of We Are Family Foundation’s Youth To The Front Fund.
Dillon was the Director of Communications at Future Coalition, a national network of youth-led organizations and youth organizers. He mobilized the Future Coalition’s network of young people and adult allies by executing the digital content strategy across the nonprofit’s associated campaigns. He also was the Youth Engagement Strategist at SparkAction, a youth-centered advocacy platform managed by The Forum for Youth Investment. He developed and maintained relationships with youth-serving partners, produced social media content for SparkAction and its partners, and crafted digital-first strategies to engage young people and adult allies.
Dillon is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism + Design at The New School.
